1. Parks Night / Central Park Grand Opening
-Food
-Samples Update: Lions have approved use of the Lions Club Car to assist with
sample distribution; three local businesses (potential fourth) have committed.
-Entertainment
-Balloon Update: Confirmed balloon and face painting - will be in either the Depot or
Pavilion; confirmed K9, Fire Truck (utilizing back parking lot), and royalty will be in
attendance; confirmed 6pm ribbon cutting with the Mayor
- Promotion: Ground stakes will be set out around town; day of there will be signs to
direct for food/entertainment
- Committee Availability: One confirmed absence from the committee
2. Park Improvement Updates
-Central Park
-Trees: will not be done in time for Friendly City days due to weather
-Lights: no new updates; awaiting weather for bids
-Hockey Shoot Out: current bids in progress; confirmed location
-Outhouse Location: continues to be a topic; more discussions are necessary with
city council
-Winter Park - no new updates; awaiting weather for bids
-Main Street - no new updates; banners discussed last meeting
-Pickleball Options - no new updates
