Minutes
Present: Tim Guimont, Nina Zeleny, Alanna Lau, Paula Adamski, Pat Adamski, Leroy
Berning, Lauryn White, Rob Olson, Adam Nafstad
1. Parks Night / Central Park Grand Opening
-Updates/Last Minute Details:
-6pm ribbon cutting and photos, confirmed local vendors and setup for day of
-FYCC to drop flyers off at the library and confirmed Facebook blasts on community
bulletins
-Confirmed inclusion in the Spring Newsletter and water bill
2. Park Improvement Updates
-Central Park: Closure from April 27th - May 2nd for concrete repairs, staining and
minor cosmetic items.
-Lights: Met with consultant, bids in progress. Will need to get presented to city council
for approval.
-Hockey Shoot Out: “Shooting Pad” would be owned by Albertville Parks solely,
confirmed 4 or 5 “lanes”
-Outhouse Location Updates: Current location is temporary, conversations continued
around location and grading work while keeping in mind access for disposal. Ideas for
an enclosure were discussed.
-Water Feature Updates: Weather dependent on completion, but estimated to be
installed by Grand Opening.
-Misc:
-Cameras discussed, but install is TBD
-Concerns about ebikes, confirmed new signs have been made and will be posted.
-Arch over Main Street to be installed in May (timing TBD; weather dependent)
-Winter Park: Curb & Tot Play Area - no new updates
3. Main Street
- Banners: Conversations about images, quantity, seasonal variety and ease of install
discussed. Pricing started, but not finalized.
4. Four Season Park
- Pickleball Options: Measurements shared, discussions and needs still in progress.
Regardless of location earth work would need to be done
