Minutes
Present: Tim Guimont, Nina Zeleny, Alanna Lau, Pat Adamski, Amy Goblirsch, Leroy
Berning, Lauryn White, Rob Olson, Adam Nafstad
1.Central Park
- Lights - Fall/Winter Install: Two main points are being discussed. The poles are
rotting and could pose a safety hazard, removal would take place this Fall/Winter. New
lights are expensive and use is not high. The City will be reaching out to current field
users to also understand lit field use and what field is best lit (western sun concerns for
visibility).
- Netting Updates / Flying Softball Signs: Unsure if a net extension will help with
balls going into park area, pricing in progress. Confirmed signs will be going up.
Discussions around frequency of incoming balls, main concern was during Friendly City
Days, no other reports since.
- Outhouse Location: Ongoing discussions about location, agreement that current
setup of two outhouses is ideal and will move forward regardless of location. Structure/
enclosure was also discussed.
- PIP Fixes: current turf hole; warranty questions are being communicated.
- Fountain Drainage: water pressure was lowered, which helped a lot. City will
continue to monitor for the rest of the season.
2. Winter Park Updates
- Tot area is set to begin this Fall with curb going in first. Plans are to have a two
swing structure and reuse smaller equipment currently in storage.
- Lions bench will be placed by the new Tot Park as well (if not completed this Fall, it
will be this Spring).
3. Main Street
- Plaza Planters: arrived and will be planted in either this year or definitely next year.
Placement was discussed, will be spaced out more.
4. Amy joined us tonight and has decided to join the committee replacing Pat Adamski.
Pat will join us for one more meeting before rotating off. Welcome!
