RE: Barthel Commercial Park
Dear Linda;
Street construction plans (Taylor #92209) for 60th Street NE and
Lachman Avenue NE have been submitted for our review. The street
grades and street sections are consistent with the design standards
as established by the City of Albertville. Specifications were not
submitted with the Plans; therefore, the Specification used by the
City for street construction in all developments will be enforced.

Storm sewer calculation and design were not included; however, it
is our understanding that only that portion of the street from
County Road 19 to approximately station 4+50 will be constructed at
this time. If this is not the situation, storm sewer pipe sizing
and design should be included.
In conversation with Stan Barthel, the developer, B618 curb and
gutter will be used in lieu of the surmountable as shown on the
typical detail. B618 curb and gutter is the preferred curb to be
used in an industrial/commercial area.
The right turn lane on County Road 19 will require the approval of
the Wright County Engineer before construction.
The Watermain Installation Plan has also been submitted for
information. Approval of the Watermain Plan and Specifications
needs to be obtained from Joint Powers Water; however, we find the
watermain location and sizing to be acceptable and in conformance
to the overall city plans.

We would recommend the approval of the street construction plans,
contingent upon the above comments. The developer shall contact the
city office when any construction, including watermain installa-
tion, is to begin, so proper inspection can be scheduled.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
